About TimeMap

TimeMap is a timeline graphic tool that helps you transform case facts into high quality visual timelines in seconds. Use TimeMap timelines to create more impact during hearings and trials or to help you and the trial team understand, communicate, and analyze the key facts of a case. Create timelines for client meetings, depositions, courtroom exhibits, and as graphics for court filings and documents.

TimeMap contains 30 pre-built templates you can use to start charting a timeline immediately. You can easily customize timeline element colors and font styles, inserting pictures or graphics, and more.

TimeMap timelines are composed of four elements:

Fact boxes — Create flags that denote the events in your chronology. You can add as many fact boxes to your chronology chart as you want.
Text boxes — Create labels used for titles and legends.
Pictures — Insert pictures and graphics to enhance the visual effect of your timeline.
Time Scale — Reference the chronology timeline that TimeMap automatically generates off the data entered in the fact boxes. The time scale displays at the bottom or side of your chart. You can adjust the page number to instantly reposition your fact boxes onto several pages.

Once your timeline is created, you can easily print or display it for different audiences.

Display your timeline in a variety of output formats and audiences:

Print and mount an enlarged copy of timeline for display in front of a jury or large audiences.
Save the timeline to a PowerPoint presentation for use in meetings or email the file to members of the trial team.
Print the timeline for a paper copy.
Save the timeline to a variety of formats: .jpeg, gif, bitmap, or metafile.

You can use TimeMap to manually create case chronologies on your own. Used in conjunction with CaseMap, you can save time by importing the key facts from a case file and instantly view them in a TimeMap-generated timeline. For more information about CaseMap, visit www.lexisnexis.com/casemap.
