About SQL case indexes

The Index Locations pane allows you to set up and manage CaseMap case indexes. In the Index Locations pane you can view a complete listing of all index locations and their paths.

The index location is the folder where the index is stored for one or more cases. The index location path should be a UNC path and a network location accessible to any user in any case using this location. For example: \\server\indexes\my location.

Before changing or removing the index location path, ensure that the cases are offline and no users are working in the cases. Otherwise, users may see inconsistent search results. Changing or removing the path will not delete the files stored in the specified folder.
