As Partner and Founder, Hann led his firm in just five years to become a boutique law firm known for corporate advisory, government advisory & real estate servicing many big name clients such as Grab Holdings, Jaya Grocer, Segi Fresh across various government licensing & M&A transactions involving state government entities.   

Hann also made significant contribution in the field of fund management and venture capital in Malaysia. He was the Advisor to Chairman of Malaysia’s leading venture capital agency during the restructuring, realignment & policy formulation stage amidst the consolidation of the Government linked VC company under the Ministry of Science & Technology. He was tasked to provide legal and financial insights in assessing board decisions related to the country’s venture capital matters. He had to manage high level stakeholders within the Ministry including senior civil servants & private sector c-suites. He provided strategic insights which balance the interest of the nation versus the interest of the private sector without impacting the venture capital ecosystem in Malaysia. 

Hann is a highly sought after subject matter expert be it for events or media for his know how related to the industry. As a notable columnist for StarBiz, his articles focus on matters related to the regulatory landscape for the capital markets such as the MSME roadmap, family office development, ESG frameworks, sustainability and others. Additionally, Hann often provides pro bono lectures to various student associations.
