Under Lih Yik's leadership, his firm has been listed as finalist for Transactional Boutique Law Firm of the Year by Asian Legal Business (“ALB”) at the ALB Malaysia Awards 2022. Lih Yik has also been named as ALB Malaysia Rising Stars 2022, as one of the top 25 lawyers under the age of 40 in Malaysia.

Lih Yik’s ability to communicate in Mandarin and deliver legal opinion in Chinese, coupled with vast experience in the area of capital markets and corporate & commercial laws in Malaysia, has attracted engagement from PRC companies with operations in Malaysia on a regular basis. Recently, he advised a PRC company in the setting up of its first high performance data centre outside China, which is one of the single largest foreign direct investments in Malaysia in 2023/2024, involving an investment sum of approximately USD600,000,000.00 (US Dollar 600 million).

One of the advantages of Lih Yik lies in his ability to engage with Malaysian authorities when needed. His recent notable deals include acted for the purchaser in the acquisition of a shopping mall, involving the sum of MYR25,000,000.00 (Malaysian Ringgit 25 million) and advised the purchaser in the proposed bulk acquisition of properties with purchase consideration of approximately MYR75,000,000.00 (Malaysian Ringgit 75 million). All of this is attributed to the close cooperation between Lih Yik's team and various parties both domestically and internationally, which enabled his clients to obtain the needful in a timely manner.

Given Lih Yik’s strong industry background, he has been invited to serve as expert committee for The Centre of Regional Strategic Studies (an independent Malaysian think tank). He also serves as member of the Bar Council's Corporate and Commercial Law Committee, International Professional Services Committee, and Environment and Climate Change Committee. These career achievements have not prevented Lih Yik from dedicating himself to social welfare activities. He gives talks on legal topics upon invitation by local organisations, and sponsors events in various communities.
