Antonio is an experienced legal counsel with a diverse background in both private practice and in-house roles. He has successfully managed legal matters in the duty-free space across 65+ jurisdictions, ensuring smooth business operations during transformations and navigating the implementation of new tobacco regulations in EU countries. Additionally, Antonio has driven the legal aspects of business category expansion in African and Middle-Eastern markets while exploring new business opportunities in channels such as airlines and cruise ships.

Antonio has demonstrated exceptional leadership in driving and implementing group compliance standards within his business unit, ensuring legal and compliance excellence despite global geopolitical tensions. He has adeptly navigated supply chain disruptions, embargoes, and provided diligent advice on business practices and sanctions matters in the duty free retail space including border shops.

Beyond his professional achievements, Antonio is committed to giving back to society. He has served as a group mentor for The Young Solicitors Group "The Connected" Mentorship scheme under the Law Society of Hong Kong and has continuously participated in the Queer Straight Alliance mentorship program as a mentor. Antonio has also organised volunteer work with HandsOn Hong Kong, visiting and delivering baskets to live-alone elders, and participated in soap recycling initiatives with Soap Cycling Hong Kong. On top of that, he is also currently serving as a member of the Hong Kong General Chambers of Commerce (“HKGCC”) Legal Committee.

In the field of integrating innovative technology and law, Antonio represents and leads the legal function in his business unit to participate in the implementation of AI tools, such as Microsoft Co-Pilot, into legal work. His resilient growth mindset is further reflected in his completion of 24 courses on platforms like Degreed, The Grid, and LinkedIn Learning, dedicating focused time (at least 1 hour per week) to continue learning various skills, including leadership, management, business approach, diversity, and inclusion.
