"The Executive Office for Immigration Review today announced it will open new immigration courts in Hyattsville, Maryland, and Laredo, Texas, on Feb. 28, 2022, expanding its presence in the National Capital Region and in South Texas. Once fully staffed, the Hyattsville and Laredo Immigration Courts will include 16 and 8 Immigration Judges, respectively. At the time of opening, six Immigration Judges in Hyattsville will hear cases transferred from the Arlington and Baltimore immigration courts and four Immigration Judges in Laredo will hear cases transferred from the Harlingen and San Antonio Immigration Courts. EOIR is in the process of sending official notifications to those parties whose hearing location has changed.
