"EOIR to Stop Holding Hearings in Boise on S. Vinnell Street
All Idaho and Montana Cases Also to Transfer from Salt Lake City to Portland
FALLS CHURCH, VA – The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) today announced that it will no longer hold hearings in Boise, Idaho, effective at the close of business on Aug. 31, 2023. Due to the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services leaving the building, DHS is unable to continue to provide a physical space to conduct virtual immigration court hearings at the location on S.Vinnell Street. EOIR is committed to continuing to serve Idaho and Montana respondents and their representatives. The current Boise Hearing Location docket, and all Idaho and Montana residents’ cases pending at the Salt Lake City Hearing Location, which are administratively managed at the Salt Lake City Immigration Court, will transition to the Portland Immigration Court beginning Sept. 1, 2023. Parties with cases assigned to the Boise Hearing Location, and all Idaho and Montana residents with cases pending at Salt Lake City Immigration Court, will be notified of their options in advance of their scheduled hearing dates."
