"On June 17, 2020, pursuant to 8 C.F.R. § 1003.1(h)(1)(i), I directed the Board of Immigration Appeals to refer this case to me for review of its decision. To assist me in my review, I directed that opening briefs from the parties be filed on or before July 17, 2020, that reply briefs from the parties be filed on or before July 31, 2020, and that briefs from amici be filed on or before July 31, 2020. On July 8, 2020, in response to requests to extend the briefing deadlines, I directed that the briefing schedule be re-set such that opening briefs from the parties be filed on or before September 15, 2020, that reply briefs from the parties be filed on or before September 29, 2020, and that briefs from amici be filed on or before September 29, 2020. On August 11, 2020, counsel for the respondent filed an unopposed motion requesting the deadline for the parties’ reply briefs be extended until October 15, 2020. In response to that request, I grant the motion. The briefing schedule is amended such that the parties may submit reply briefs not exceeding 6,000 words on or before October 15, 2020. Opening briefs from the parties still must be filed on or before September 15, 2020, and briefs from amici still must be filed on or before September 29, 2020."
