  1. Complimentary Protestors’ Rights Resource Kit

A compilation of resources to inform protesters, and the press covering the protests, of their legal rights
In response to the nationwide protests confronting systemic racism and police brutality, the Lexis Practice Advisor® service now includes a Protesters’ Rights Resource Kit. This resource kit compiles publicly available resources to inform protesters and the press covering protests of their legal rights. The resources also provide practical tips when in a protest or in encounters with law enforcement, some being jurisdiction specific. Also included are LexisNexis® resources providing background and context on constitutional rights and police civil liability.

The content has been gathered from various U.S.-based legal advocacy groups including the ACLU, The Legal Aid Society and other organizations that are working to increase police accountability and promote civil rights, equal rights and access to justice. Related LexisNexis content is also included.
