New Custom Pages, easier access to content types, additional segments and more available on the Lexis Advance® service

Exciting Lexis Advance enhancements were released this week:

Create Custom Pages on the Lexis Advance service with the sources and tools you use most often, all on one screen and organized the way you like. Select content such as sources for a practice area, jurisdiction and industry, as well as Lexis Advance tools that allow access to your research history, Get a Document or even a Shepard's® report. You can also set a Custom Page as your starting page for future research sessions. Watch the Custom Pages video or Download the reference PDF.

To create a page, click on the + Create a custom page link in the Custom Page pod on the landing page.

Once you have given your page a name, you can use the links displayed in the Custom Page shell to add your preferred content as well as tools.

Users can set their Custom Page as their Lexis Advance starting page by clicking on the Actions pull-down menu.

Content Types in Results Display: Now it’s even easier to find and change content types on your search results screen: Cases, Statutes and Legislation, Legal News and more with the new Select Category pull-down menu.

New searchable segments

Increase search efficiency with new segments when searching in Trademark materials (TRADEMARK and MARK-DESCRIP) and Expert Witness (EXPERT) materials.

TRADEMARK—This group segment will search the name, word wheel, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) design, description, lining-stippling, name-consent, pseudomark, Greek and translation fields of the trademark document.

MARK-DESCRIP—This segment will restrict the search to the description of the trademark.

EXPERT—This segment will restrict searches to documents specifically pertaining to an expert in the Expert Witness Testimony and Reports and Expert Witness Challenge content types.
