Knowledge & Research Consultant Tip: Using Get A Doc Assistance when you have limited citation information
Have a citation to a document or a docket number but not sure of the reporter or publisher abbreviation or format? Have one or more common party names? Get A Doc Assistance allows you to retrieve documents by citation, party name or docket number, and it is a great resource for finding correct citation formats for documents when you do not have that information.
Go to Get A Doc Assistance from the Lexis service:

You will be prompted to select both the Content Type and Jurisdiction. Then select the Source:

Once you select the Source you will be given an example of the correct format for that Source:
