Knowledge & Research Consultant Tip: Save time when comparing versions of federal and state codes using Code Compare on Lexis+®

The Lexis+® service offers a great tool that can help you save a lot of time when comparing changes from one version of a statute to another. Easily view these changes in seconds with the Code Compare feature. Pull up your code of interest, and select the Compare Versions button on the right.

Then you can select the two versions you would like to compare. The legend at the top right will let you know how many additions and deletions have been made. The slide along the left side will help you hop to the areas with changes. Last, you have the option of viewing the two versions either side by side or overlaying each other.
