Librarian Relations Consultant Research Tip: KWIC™ (Key Words in Context ) on Lexis Advance®

Key Words in Context, better known as KWIC view, has been added to the Lexis Advance service. The KWIC view shows a document with only your search terms and set number of terms on either side. 

In order to use the KWIC view, you must click into a document and then a toggle is available to switch between full document view and KWIC view.

Once you are in a document, you can switch from the default number of 50 to any number up to 999.

In addition, you have the ability to deliver documents in the KWIC view as well. 

Note—the KWIC view is available for a limited set of content types that include copyrights, trademarks, news, legal news and cases. More content types will be added in the future.
