- Federal: The Department of Justice announces its Corporate Whistleblower Awards Pilot Program to award whistleblowers who provide original, truthful information about corporate criminal conduct that results in a successful forfeiture. - Michigan: The Michigan Supreme Court holds unconstitutional the Legislature's amendments to the Wage Act and the Earned Sick Time Act, which were made in the same legislative session that the Legislature adopted the initiative petition and virtually eliminated the changes to Michigan's wage sick time laws that voters sought through the initiative process. The court holds that the original Wage Act and Earned Sick Time Act will go into effect, with a revised schedule, on February 21, 2025. See Mothering Justice v. AG (July 31, 2024).
