Worker Fired For Refusing To Falsify I-9 Forms, Suit Claims

"A Pennsylvania stone veneer product manufacturer and installer was slapped with a wrongful termination suit Friday by a former employee who claims she was canned for refusing to falsely certify I-9 forms to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  Plaintiff Jessica Miranda alleged that Environmental Materials LLC, which operates as Environmental Stoneworks, fired her because she refused to succumb to pressure from her superiors to falsely certify the I-9 employment eligibility verification forms to state that new employees had presented the documentation required by DHS to work in the U.S. without physically inspecting the documents as required by law." - Law360, Mar. 23, 2015.
