Top L.A. Law Enforcement Chiefs Back State ID for Unauthorized Immigrants

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck and L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca are in favor of issuing driver licenses to unauthorized immigrants.  Are they "soft" on crime, "soft" on illegal immigration?  Hardly.  They are strong on public safety.
