Immigration Raid Scars Iowa Town

"One year ago, federal authorities conducted an immigration raid in Postville, Iowa, arresting nearly 400 undocumented workers at Agriprocessors, Inc., a meat processing plant. Many of those arrested remain in Postville, in a state of legal limbo. The raid also took a devastating toll on the town's economy, shuttering many local businesses and prompting nearly a third of Postville residents to move away. Pastor Gary Catterson, who's leading a group of community leaders to help rebuild the Midwestern town, talks about the raid and how his community is coping one year later." NPR, May 18, 2009.
