Church in New Jersey Offers Sanctuary to Immigrants

"A New Jersey pastor who opened up his church as a sanctuary to immigrants facing deportation doesn’t have much more room at the inn — nine have moved in.  The Indonesian Christians say they’d rather camp out indefinitely in the Reformed Church of Highland Park than face persecution back home.  “Helping nine people get haircuts and nine people go to the dentist — it’s really changed our life around here,” said the Rev. Seth Kaper-Dale, who took in the first immigrant four months ago." - Erica Pearson, New York Daily News, July 11, 2012.
