USCIS to Propose SSN/DL Solution for F/M Students on 14 Sept 2012

"The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Programs are aware of current difficulties that some F and M students have when applying for public benefit such as a Social Security number (SSN) or driver’s licenses.  The programs are working on a solution that will be implemented on September 14, 2012.  Read more at Study in the States and check back on September 14." - USCIS, Sept. 7, 2012.
