Changing menu settings

You can customize menu settings for whether menus drop down to display all selections or only those recently used. The default setting is to only show recently used commands. You also have the option to select whether you want the menus dropping in an animated manner.

1.On the Tools menu, click Customize.
2.In the Customize dialog box, click on the Options tab.
3.In the Personalized Menus and Toolbars area, select the Menus show recently used commands first check box for menus to limit commands based on those you've used recently.

Clear the check box if you prefer the menu to always display all commands.

4.Select the Show full menus after a short delay check box, if you then want all menu commands to display after first displaying only recently used commands.
5.In the Other area, click on an option in the Menu animations list for how you would like menus to drop-down: Random, Unfold, Slide, Fade.

Leave this setting as (None) if you prefer the default setting.

6.Click Close to save setting changes.

Click the Reset my usage data button to restore the default menu and toolbar command settings, except any explicit customizations.
