Description

The CFPB and other federal regulatory agencies have made it clear:  fair lending compliance is a priority for financial institutions.  As the level of fair lending examination scrutiny increases, the frequency of enforcement actions, the size of restitution to consumers, and the regulatory penalties assessed against financial institutions has grown exponentially in recent months.  Penalties are far reaching!

LexisNexis | Sheshunoff is pleased to offer all the Fair Lending guidance you need in a one-of-a-kind solution. Our Fair Lending Bundle showcases industry best practices for the development and maintenance of a robust fair lending compliance management system to meet heightened regulator expectations. Your purchase includes our authoritative Federal Fair Lending and Credit Practices Manual, admission to an upcoming 2-part Webinar event, and access to an on-demand session on the fundamentals of a Fair Lending program.

The Federal Fair Lending and Credit Practices Manual provides timely information and authoritative guidance on fair lending and credit practices, covering the seven major federal anti-discrimination and fair credit laws and the requirements of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This easy-to-use reference places all relevant material compiled in one place, so the answers you need are right at your fingertips:
• Detailed explanations of how to comply with requirements under each statute covered
• Full text of the pertinent laws and implementing regulations
• All Official Staff Commentary issued by the regulatory agency administering the law
• Case digests and studies
• Practice-tested sample forms you can use as models for your specific situation

You’ll also receive admission to our 2-day webinar event, Fair Lending: Program Development and Self-Assessment. Webinars will be held from Noon-1:30 ET on April 29 and 30, 2015. Together, these fast-paced Webinars will provide you with the fundamentals of a sound fair lending program as well as insights on current trends and approaches.  Following these sessions, you’ll be able to:
• Ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of your institution’s fair lending program

• Develop a typical fair lending program, with insights on policy, program, monitoring, and reporting elements to manage the process
• Employ new tips and techniques to achieve an effective fairness program
• Perform a self-assessment and promptly address any red flags

As a bonus, we’ll include a recording of the Banking Bootcamp: Fair Lending Update Webinar which reviews the latest case updates on the future of the “disparate impact” test, and will help you understand the CFPB’s risk-based fair lending prioritization process, identify best practices for developing a robust Fair Lending compliance management system and meeting examiner expectations, and recognize the top risk indicators for fair lending violations in today’s market.
