Largest Ever LexisNexis Cares Event
A record 1,480 attendees gathered for the 2009 U.S. Legal Markets National Sales Meeting in Orlando, but sales weren’t the only thing on their minds.
LexisNexis employees gathered for the largest ever LexisNexis Cares project on record, outperforming the bike building effort at last year’s Law Firm sales meeting by more than 300 items and several hundred volunteers.
Attendees assembled bikes, rocking chairs, reading benches, cubbies, rocking horses and stuffed animals. Also, several teams refurbished old plastic Fisher Price toys for redistribution into underserved communities.
Volunteers worked tirelessly in the Florida sun to build:

- 75 bikes,
- 38 wagons,
- 35 rocking horses,
- 40 rocking chairs,
- 40 benches,
- 65 cubbies,
- 125 stuffed animals
And 100 old toys were refurbished!
Organizations benefiting from this event were: Boys & Girls Club, Children’s Safety Village, Neighborhood Center for Families, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Orlando Day Nursery, Orlando Public Schools, and Tangelo Park Elementary.
“It is this sense of pride, personal motivation to be the best and commitment to excel in a challenging environment that makes the LexisNexis sales team the industry recognized best and most knowledgeable sales professionals,” said Deb Ulrich, Sales Planning & Strategy Manager.
